In 2009 Neda was executed publicly in Iran for sticking up for Iranian rights and freedom of speech and religion. Rory was so deeply moved by her passionate and selfless acts that he wrote and produced a song called "Can't Just Walk Away." There was such an outcry from the Iranian people in the united states that money came pouring in for the cause except that there was no cause. Rory just wrote a song but then the realization for the need of the cause came into being and that's how Changing The World INC. was born.

As Rory watched his neighbors and loved ones here in the United States and all the suffering around him he realized that he wanted to make a change in the world. In 2019 Rory decided to hand off the non profit to Lisa Andrews but continued to play a supporting role with his music.

In 2019 Rory wrote and produced the song "Shack Dog."

This story about a homeless Veteran is very close to Rory's heart.

Rory talks about watching young men come home from the Vietnam war, being spit on, yelled at, and treated in completely inhumane ways after fighting in a war that almost nobody understood.

After trying to defend our country and usually traumatized in ways most civilians can never began to comprehend, often times they came back to a family that didn't understand or want them while dealing with post traumatic stress disorder.(PTSD)

Some of these Veterans were drafted leaving them with no choice in the matter leading to further traumatization.

Many of these Veterans ended up homeless, lost, and those are the ones that did NOT choose to commit suicide.

Rory states "It's a heart breaking situation that weighs heavy on our hearts."

Rory honors and cherishes all Veterans. It was important to Rory to help people to understand how anybody put in the right circumstances could become homeless as well.
